As much as I LOVE being open, and not hiding things. I feel like I should keep certain things more private. Right now I don’t have an actual journal to write in, so even my most personal thoughts seem to get leaked out on here. Sorry, guys! And as much as I’m all for a “say how you feel” attitude, I really don’t like making other people feel uncomfortable or embarrassed. I don’t like negativity in my life. So, after some careful consideration, and a lot of thinking, I feel like maybe I should pull some of the posts I have up. Not so much for me, because in all honesty, I have never really cared what others think of me. But, more for my family’s sake. I wouldn’t want my husband or my daughter to ever look at my blog and feel embarrassed or ashamed of anything that I posted about myself or them. Well, Emery has no say over the first 18 years of her life because I gave birth to her. I have every right to embarrass her if I want, but still, you get my point right?
So over the next couple of days I’ll be sifting through my archive and yanking the posts I feel I should just keep private. Too bad blogger doesn’t have a setting that can change individual posts to private. (Hint, hint) I want to change things up! I want to be more positive, more centered, more assured with myself. I want to make this a place that people would enjoy coming and reading about my family (good and maybe a little bad-no one’s perfect). But, for me to repeat myself constantly over the same issues gets so BORING. Depressing even! And to have so much negativity right there in front of me, on my OWN blog (that I look at several times a week) is not helping me get past those issues. Also, as much as I hate DRAMA, it seems to find me no matter how many people I delete off of Facebook or phone book, but I feel like I shouldn’t always nag about it on here. I don’t want to make readers, passerby’s, or even my friends that know about this blog feel as if I’m bitching or constantly having problems. I don’t want people to feel like they’re looking into something that they probably wouldn’t want to. No one likes that!
I need to get happy! I need to be me but also know my boundaries! I need to mix it up and make things fun again! Believe it or not, I used to be pretty funny! I used to be pretty social and I want that to shine through onto my blog! So, I’m happy to be taking this first step in that direction! Yay me!!
