Day Dreamin'

Friday, June 1, 2012

I’ve been missing California a lot lately. I miss the palm trees. I've almost gone as far as to thinking about buying one to plant. But, I don’t think it would survive. Then, last week I chatted with my friend Kami over Facebook, and that made me miss it even more. For now, I just keep telling myself that NEXT summer, we’ll pay a visit. Since summer classes are out of the question for me we’ll always have that time to do as we please. Silver lining...? I think so.

Maybe.

Until then, all I have are daydreams, memories, pictures, and video from our trip back in January. So on days like today, when I find myself really wanting to be back there, I just watch this video. With the volume up. Just so it will take me back and hold me over till I see it again.

Happy Friday!

p.s. My other husband
released his new single on Wednesday.
Check it out here.

  1. Palm tree are like the only trees that grow where I am from. You really gotta check out South Padre Island! It ain't Cali but it's decent- the only beach I would recommend in TX.

Is that video by Wisconsin Street? My old surf spot! Miss it too.

    1. Our local McDonald’s has palm trees but they are TINY. Probably about as tall as I am. Other than that, I haven’t ever seen any around. It’s a bummer there aren’t anymore. :(

I’ve heard about South Padre but the closest I’ve been is Port Aransas. And that was a long time ago. Back when I had allergic reactions to seaweed. But my dad has been wanting us all to go down for a family vacation sometime next summer to Padre, so maybe I'll get to go visit you stomping grounds!

As for that street, I can't for the life of me remember. I just remember us being to the left of the pier and right down the road from Johnny Mananas. :)
